Writing at Play
Reserve a 1-3 hour collaborative session on a genre of your choice.
Service Description
Writing at Play is designed for students and writing teachers to gel their content knowledge of a specific genre in writing with their owned experiences. Through this engaging merging of minds, students and teachers can walk away with a new perspective on an old idea or gain the confidence to pursue a story line or a social cause initiative. The fun of a writing at play session is to not take the act of writing as serious as the ceremony of writing. Try a session with a group of teachers to integrate within their subject area expertise, Writing Across the Curriculum or book a session with a group of interested writers, or student writers seeking more purpose in their work. I am open to discussing your ideas for a Writing at Play session to be unique to your school culture and local community. Reach out today to discuss your next Writing at Play experience. **Prices vary based on complexity of session, number of participants, and duration. (An example: a weekend three-hour session with 20 experienced writing students and 10 teachers would be very different from a morning one hour 10 am session with five novice writers and two experienced teachers. Prep detail and planning as well as locations costs are factored with each unique session. A free planning consulting questionnaire, at booking, helps determine how I can best serve your school community and how the pricing structure works. Writing at Play sessions begin at $350.
